Geffen Awards
During Icon 2008 Festival, for the 10th consecutive year, we will grant The Geffen Award to the best science fiction and fantasy works created this year. The award is granted by The Israeli Society for Science Fiction and Fantasy. The five final nominees in each of the categories were chosen by the society's members in preliminary election.
During the festival participants will be able to cast their votes in specially designated ballots, placed throughout the cinematheque and in Eshkol Payis Hall, and select the winners of the awards. A list of nominated books and stories will appear on the voting form, given out at the festivals information stand.
